The Madame Walker Theatre Center celebrates the first African-American U.S. President on one of the most of the most historically acclaimed Holidays of the year. January 21st, 2013 is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day as well as the inauguration of President Obama as President of the United States. The Walker will stream the inauguration, happening in Washington D.C., live in the historic 937-seat theatre.
Order of day on Jan. 21, 2013 is as follows:
9:30am: Free continental breakfast for the first 150 people at the Indianapolis Urban League, 777 Indiana Ave
10:30am: Freedom Walk from Urban League to Madame Walker Theatre Center
11am – 12:45p: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Program
