The Madame Walker Theatre Center presents programming for people of all ages and cultural interests. Music, dance, motion pictures, theater: this stage and these walls have been filled with exciting performances for over 80 years.
The Walker Theatre's arts calendar includes local, regional national and international performers representing virtually every form of music, dance, comedy and theater as well as motion-picture premieres. This combination of diverse events and performers makes the Madame Walker Theatre Center a centerpiece of the Indianapolis arts landscape.

Black History Month Comedy Show

Tryblaze Entertainment presents 2012 Black History Month Comedy Show featuring B Cole from Def Comedy Show and BET Comedy Review also starring Hozay Crawley and Almando Burks. Charley Green, of Photochyck Photography, started Project Acceptance as a photographic way of teaching people to accept themselves and others in an effort to put an end to bullying. Photographs from Project Acceptance will be featured on display beginning March 2nd at the historic Madame Walker Theatre.
To celebrate the opening of the exhibit, the Walker Theatre will host a Project Acceptance reception on Friday, March 2nd from 5-7pm.
The exhibit will run through the month of March.
Project Acceptance, founded in 2011, seeks to promote acceptance through awareness by empowering individuals to overcome their personal insecurities.

It is the mission of the Asante Children’s Theatre to develop life skills in youth using the performing arts of acting, singing, dancing and storytelling. The Asante Children’s Theatre has united the skills and talents of adult mentors (over 21) with our Prep4Life (youth 6 to 12) and Academy (youth 12 to 21) members to assemble a multi-generational cast. LEGEND: Asante Children’s Theatre Pays Tribute to MICHAEL JACKSON will celebrate Michael Jackson’s legacy through spoken word, song and dance.
